Making Appointments

You can make an appointment by visiting reception or by telephone.  

 

Cancelling Appointments

If you need to cancel an appointment, please contact the practice as soon as possible.  There is a selection on the answerphone to cancel appointments, this option is available 24 hours a day. A member of staff will call you to rearrange your appointment.  Please be aware of the practice cancellation policy – below.

 

Cancellation and Fail To Attend Policy

Private: If you cancel an appointment for private treatment with less than 24 hours notice, or fail to attend an appointment, you may incur a fee.  Charges will be dependant on the length of appointment.


NHS:


Due to NHS policy we have to ensure that any NHS treatment is completed promptly following an examination. This means we are having to introduce the following procedures.


Failure to Attend


If you fail to attend a booked appointment for NHS treatment, you will be sent a letter or called and given 1 week to contact the practice to rearrange. If your appointment has not been rebooked within this time frame the course of treatment will be closed.  After a course of treatment is closed further appointments will be a new course of treatment and therefore further charges will apply.

 

Rebooking appointments


Treatment appointments can re rearranged but they can only be rearranged to a date within 2 months of the previous appointment. If the treatment appointment is booked later than this date the course will be closed and further charges will apply.


Under exceptional circumstances the practice will have some flexibility, subject to patients attendance history. 



Ways to Pay

We accept cash, cheques with a valid bank card and some credit/debit cards. If making a payment for NHS treatment on a credit card, please be aware that a percentage handing charge will be payable on the transaction.

Please be prepared to either pay in full for NHS treatment at your first visit or pay a deposit if returning for private treatment.

 

Current NHS patients need to bring proof if they are exempt from payment.

 

We now offer finance for treatment costing over £250. A deposit will be paid at the first appointment and then the balance can be paid in finance. All finance is based on 0% APR over 10 months.

NHS Appointments with Natasha Vadasz

 

From October 2013 Natasha Vadasz will only have a limited diary for NHS examination appointments.



Jo and Ruth will continue to see all NHS patients between 9am and 5pm on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.


From September 2014 Natasha will be offering an evening surgery on alternate Monday evenings for NHS examinations. If patients cancel with less than 24 hours notice or fails to attend a booked appointment then we will be unable to offer an evening appointment in the future.
